Can I download the source code to contribute?

I've seen from the mailing list that the release of the source code will happen soon. More generally it's look like the devellopment community is not organized yet. And for what I've understand the future architecture of the search engine is not ~completelly planned (it's look like it would be the work of the community to do it). But I'm not sure of this because of the few informations about the current state of the project from the wikia people I've been able to find. Let's hope it will improve soon with the release of the code...

There is also some mailing lists concerned with some part of the infrastructure. Bzhboy 02:39, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, not all of the source code is available yet. In particular, I can't find the source code for grub - the crawler that collects web content, however:

  • The source code for foowi - the 'social aspect' of search wikia is available at [1]. Search for foowi for details about foowi.
  • The source code for nutch - the indexer. (Thing that converts caches internet content into lists of links) is available here [2]
  • The source code for the search webpage is available here.
