Wikiseek logo

Wikiseek (called Wikisearch during its beta phase) is a search engine that searches Wikipedia and all sites that are linked to from Wikipedia; it is not a search engine of the World Wide Web. Wikiseek is a project by searchme.com and was released in January 2007.

The majority of the revenue made from advertising on the service will be donated to the Wikimedia Foundation.

Wikiseek is not related to wikiasearch, wikia, "Search Wikia", or to the plans for community-created search of the World Wide Web.

Wikiseek is also not a Wikia project. Wikia hosts the Community Wiki for Wikiseek and Wikia users were involved in the beta testing, of course.
