Isn't it about time all the commentry on the merits of a mini on sex should be moved from the mini namespace to the mini talk namespace? It all seems back to front to me!-- Ipigott 10:22, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

A mini-article about pages with free pictures or videos without spam would be important. Would that include pornographic material? Yes. Because that is the essence of what makes the term 'sex' so often searched. However, linkage to medical and academic materials must also be presented.
It is reported that almost 70% of the internet is used for this area of search. Also this subject accounts for 99.9% of human births. So don't be shy give it a try.
Comment by Alan: In my opinion, it would be nice if Wikia could be kept clean from pornographic searches. Pornography is all about money, so such sites would ultimately be trying to draw searchers away from Wikia. If Wikia is kept clean, more families will be inclined to use Wikia, many parents are looking for search engines they can rely on to keep their kids safe, and they are few and far between. On the other hand, sex selling sites are likely to see wikia as an opportunity to attract searchers without paying for clicks, especially while Wikia is young and fresh, as the early bird catches the worm so to speak, [no pun intended]. The developers of Wikia need to decide which way are they going to go. It is decision time. If action is not taken, sex sites are likely to storm Wikia, creating multiple profiles, and innocent wikia searches will result in a high level of unwanted links to sex sites, and that experience will severely discourage the take up of Wikia by users who want to find results more applicable to what they searched for. If we are not careful, innocent subject Wikia searches could lead to searches to viagra selling profiles, just like spam emails.
Comment by Ruwat: IMO, denying the "sex" on the internet for a search portal is like denying humans drink water in order to live.
The smut will come to wikia one way or another. We just need to agree to keep it behind a door in a contained room so it is easier to moderate (the spam) and keep the rest of wikia "family friendly".
Why not a subdomain ... xxx.wikia.com for the smut?? Allows for easy parental control, no?
