[edit] Request for Adminship: Mschel
I am dedicated to keeping Search Wikia well-focused, orderly and uncluttered. Since I joined last December, I have made over a hundred maintainence-related edits, including dozens of successful nominations for deletion on off-topic or spam articles.
I am hoping to be granted adminship so that I can more effectively maintain order on Search Wikia, particulary by better controlling spam/useless articles.
If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them on this page. -Mschel 00:06, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yup i certainly agree, at the min there only seems to be me arounds so another admin would be nice. Also most of my work is led to by you so yes a definate support.--Markie 17:44, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] First impression
I've left a note on User:Charitwo's talk page detailing the first impression the wikia search engine has left with me. The project might want to reconsider who it makes an administrator. It seems there's more bureaucracy than content. 160.45.115.128 09:47, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- We are still finding our feet here :) it's hard at this point to decide what is spam and what is a valid contribution. I think we need to be more relaxed about links in the mini articles at this point, especially when they are specific to the search term... but let's see how it develops. I'm sorry your first experience of this wasn't good. -- sannse

- Thanks! I was getting kind of frustrated, what with everything disappearing without any feedback. But I'm glad to see there's also people watching the people watching the newbies :) 160.45.115.128 10:18, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Explanation
Hey guys, I'm Tiddly Tom. On the Administrators page it does not say the requirements to become an admin. If it is a matter of just offering to help out, count me in. It may be useful to write something on there to help other users understand who and who can't become admins. I am aware of the fact I have no edits here yet. I am also Tiddly Tom on the English Wikipedia. I have over 6k edits over there. I say this for confirmation that I am not a vandal. If you need confirmation that I am Tiddly Tom - I would be happy to make an edit with my account over there on my user page to confirm I am Tiddly Tom over here as well. Thank You. [edit] Request for Adminship: DCLXVI
I am hoping to be granted adminship so that I can effectively translate the interface messages and help Bulgarian users (but not only!) find the right information they're looking for, not spam and useless articles. --DCLXVI 09:24, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Request for Adminship: Cyruz
Hi, im here at wikia search now for 2 months and by the time I am getting clear with the guidelines and policies. I help where I can f.e. I successfully marked many spam pages/categorized articles/writing new.... I could work more effectively, if I became an admin status, so I hope it will be granted to me. If you have any questions about me or my work, feel free to ask on this page or my user page. Best Regards --Cy 09:55, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- I've made DCLXVI and Cyruz admins. I think it's time this wiki had a more formal process of requesting adminship (and also a bureaucrat who can look after this). Does anyone want to arrange that? Angela
